Q 1. How are the Final Selection and Admission Round conducted?
Ans. : After the Personality Assessment Round, the following process/steps will be followed during the Final Selection and Admission Round:

Students need to submit their Written Test Scores.

Declaration of M-JPAT ranks and Scores

Issuance of selection/call letters to students by Associated MBA colleges

College Selection by students- the students need to mark their preference order for the colleges that have issued a call letter.

Allotment of colleges-the students will be allotted colleges based on the combination of the following factors.
a. Calls Received
b. M-JPAT Rank
c. Preference order of colleges submitted by students.
d. Availability of Seats.
Final Selection and Confirmation of Admission-Once the student has been allotted a particular program at a college, he/she will be required to submit the first instalment of course fees to confirm the admission.

Cancellation of admission- Students will have an option to withdraw their admissions till a particular date.

Second Round of Seat Allotment- Students may get upgraded preferences depending on the availability of seats, and students who could not get a seat in the first round may get one in the second round.

Ans. : Please refer to the IMPORTANT DATES for the exact schedule of events.

Q 3. I have not appeared for CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT,  ATMA or GMAT. Can I apply for M-JPAT?
Ans. : No, you cannot apply for M-JPAT.

Q 4. What are the documents that I need to carry for the Final Selection and Admission Round?
Ans. : No, you do not have to submit any documents for the Final Selection and Admission Round. But at the time of reporting to the college you need to submit all the relevant documents in original; your admission to the said MBA College  will be provisional till the verification of all the mentioned documents.

All information submitted by the student will be verified during the Student Personality Assessment Round. Students will be required to carry original documents testifying their academic performance, extracurricular activities and documents related to employment for verification.

Q 5. What are the various steps involved in the Final Selection and Admission Round?
Ans. : After the students have appeared for the Personality Assessment Round and submitted a valid written score (CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA or GMAT / GRE) , the following steps of Final Selection and Admission Round follow :

Step 1: MBA Colleges will select students according to their own criteria and issue call letters to all the selected students. The complete list of all the selections will be made available to students in the Student  Zone.

Step2: Students will mark their order of preferences for all the colleges that have issued call letters to them.

Step3: Students will be allotted colleges based on their M-JPAT RANK, calls received from various MBA colleges,  student preference for the colleges and availability of seats.

Step 4: Once a student has been allotted a particular program at a college, he/she needs to submit the first instalment of the course fees (For Indian students, the first instalment of the college course fee will be Rs 65,000/-( Rupees Sixty Five Thousand only) and For International students the first instalment of the college course fee will be Rs 1,25,000/-(Rupees One Hundred Twenty Five Thousand only).) no later than  the said date  to confirm the admission.

Step 5: All those students who have confirmed their admission through  M-JPAT may opt to withdraw on or before the said date.  The student will be refunded the initial payment  within a 30-day period after deducting Rs 1000/- as processing fee.

Step 6: Based on aforesaid preferences, a second round of allocation of seats in MBA Colleges  will take place and students will be issued call letters.  After the repetition of aforesaid steps, the final list of admitted students will be generated.

Q 6. Do I need to confirm my admission on the same day?
Ans. : No, you do not have to confirm your admission the same day. You have a 7 to 10-day window,  to mark your preference to the colleges who have issued call letters. Further, you will have a 7 to 10-day window,  to pay the first instalment and confirm your admissions.

Q 7. If I want to withdraw my admission from the college at a later date, can I get the refund of the money paid towards admission?
Ans. : Any cancellation of admission for students who have appeared in ROUND ONE after 12th April 2015 will be governed by the Admission Cancellation / Refund policy of the MBA College  where the student has been admitted. The student needs to directly approach the MBA college for any such cases after 12th April 2015.

Any cancellation of admission for students who have appeared in ROUND TWO after 28th May 2015 will be governed by the Admission Cancellation / Refund policy of the MBA College  where the student has been admitted. The student needs to directly approach the MBA college for any such cases after 28th May 2015.
Q 8. How do I make the first instalment payment during the Final Selection and Admission Round?
Ans. : The first instalment  can be paid by cheque/demand draft or in the online mode through credit card/debit card. The details of the same will be available at the website. On successful credit of the payments, the students will be issued with the Admission Kits from the respective colleges.

For Indian students, the first instalment of the college course fee will be Rs 65,000/-( Rupees Sixty Five Thousand only).

For International students the first instalment of the college course fee will be Rs 1,25,000/-(Rupees One Hundred Twenty Five Thousand only).

Q 9. Can I confirm my admission to more than one college?
Ans. : No, the admission will only be confirmed to only one college under
M-JPAT.

Q 10. Can I change the college where I have confirmed my admission during the Final Selection and Admission Round?
Ans. : Once the admission is confirmed based on your choice, admission criteria and availability of seats, the college allocation cannot be altered and neither can it be transferred. Still, depending on the availability of seats after cancellation, students with confirmed admissions in the first round may get an upgraded preference in the second round.

Q 11. Does M-JPAT process guarantee admissions?
Ans. : M-JPAT helps the process of admission for students; It does not guarantee admission to all applicants. All admissions will be based on the admission criteria and availability of seats for associated colleges.
